National Property Specialists Strutt & Parker celebrated the New Year by officially opening its newest office in Amersham on 2 January. The Amersham branch, situated in an historic malthouse in Old Amersham, is Strutt & Parker’s 25th regional office.
‘Buckinghamshire is a very lucrative area for property,’ says Nick Ingle, who manages the office. ‘The Amersham area, including Beaconsfield and Gerrard’s Cross, is very affluent and always appeals to commuters – London is only about 40 minutes away. Its busy top-end market merits a local office.
‘We will focus on residential sales at the upper end of the market – houses worth over £600,000, which is where we have particular expertise. We’ll cover the whole of Buckinghamshire, which has a very active market ranging from country property to townhouses.
‘Amersham is perfectly placed for us; it is in the centre of our prime catchment area, which extends from Gerrard’s Cross and Beaconsfield to Princes Risborough, but also has excellent links to the north of the county.’
Nick Ingle is confident that Strutt & Parker will develop its own profile in the region. ‘Strutt & Parker is not just an estate agent; it offers a wide range of services, including agricultural business consultancy, land management, and planning and development advice. Although currently our office deals solely with residential sales, our clients will have access to the full range of Strutt & Parker’s expertise in other disciplines.’
Until Strutt & Parker opened in Old Amersham, the nearest office was in St Albans, which covered Buckinghamshire. From now on the Amersham office will be the first port of call for Buckinghamshire’s Strutt & Parker clients.
The staff at the new office bring many years’ of property expertise to Old Amersham. In addition to Nick Ingle, who for 20 years has worked as an agent in the area, the staff comprises Vanessa Kirby, who previously worked with Hamptons International; Richard Le Neve Foster; and Gill Riley.
